  • Most Polling Places Different for Tuesday's Runoff

Because there are very few races on the ballot in this Tuesday's runoff election, the parties (which run the runoff) have significantly reduced the number of polling locations, which means you probably will not vote at your usual location, or even at the location at which you voted last month.

It is very important that you find your correct polling location, since on Election Day you can only vote at the location to which your precinct is assigned. Most of us will vote in locations that are NOT in our immediate neighborhoods.

If you are registered to vote in Harris County, you can look up your polling location on my web site at www.scotthochberg.com (Click on "Find Where You Vote"). You will only need to enter the address where you are registered. The site will find your polling place from there.

If you voted in the Democratic primary election last month, you can vote only in the Democratic runoff. Likewise, if you voted in the Republican primary last month, you can vote only in the Republican runoff. IF DID NOT VOTE IN THE PRIMARY, YOU MAY VOTE IN EITHER PARTY'S RUNOFF. All polls will be open from 7am-7pm.

If you have any questions about where to vote this Tuesday, please feel free to contact me by return email.
