Meet Rep. Hochberg's Staff
 Shawn Leventhal serves as Senior Legislative Aide in Rep. Hochberg’s Capitol Office. Before coming to Austin, Shawn worked as Director of Policy Communication for ttweak, a Houston media firm. Shawn graduated from Rice University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Policy Studies. At Rice, Shawn was a founding member of the Baker Institute Student Forum at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy and served as president of the Rice Young Democrats. To reach Shawn by e-mail, click here.  Dolores Valero serves as Constituent Service Specialist in Rep. Hochberg’s Houston Office. Dolores previously worked for the law firm of Baker Botts L.L.P. as a legal clerk, and served as a legislative intern in Rep. Hubert Vo's Capitol office. Dolores is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and also studied at the Universidade Federal da Bahia in Salvador, Brazil. Dolores is a native of southwest Houston and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. To reach Dolores by e-mail, click here.  Rachel McClure serves as Legislative Director in Rep. Hochberg's Capitol office. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin. This is her eighth legislative session at the capitol including three sessions working with Rep. Rebecca Cohen serves as a Legislative Intern in Rep. Hochberg's Capitol office. Rebecca is a second year doctoral student in the Educational Policy and Planning program at UT Austin. She received the New York City Teaching Fellowship and served for two years as a middle school mathematics teacher in Brooklyn, NY. She subsequently worked as the Director of Academics at CitySquash, an after-school youth enrichment program in the Bronx. Rebecca’s current research interests focus on organizational response to test-driven accountability measures and the implementation of wellness policies in public schools. Rebecca earned her B.A. in Sociology from NYU and her Master’s in Middle Childhood Mathematics Education from Brooklyn College. To reach Rebecca by e-mail, click here.  Rahul Sreenivasan serves as a Legislative Aide in Rep. Hochberg's Capitol office. Rahul is a graduate of the University of Texas and the Texas Tech School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. A native of Amarillo, Rahul has previously worked as an assistant to the Chief Clerk of the Texas House, as an intern for United States House Speaker Nanci Pelosi, and for the American Cancer Society.
